JACKSONVILLE, FL (PRWEB) August 17, 2012

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (August 16, 2012) A Torchbearers Salute to 100 Years of Olympic Spirit by author and award-winning poet Kermite Bristow is a book about the history of the Olympics since its inception woven in chronological order and poetic form. And, of his experiencing being an Olympic Torchbearer. His book of poetry and history has been taken into an updraft of current events.

Few years ago while promoting his book, Bristow said he would strongly agree with his speaking publicly of continuing the global tradition of the passing of the Olympic Flame. A Torchbearers Salute to 100 Years of Olympic Spirit describes his passing of the Olympic Torch, and the worlds glorious Olympic heroes with their own personal events throughout the Olympic Years.

Although nations often fail to live up to expectations and to do the right thing, nations like individuals, have evolved and changed for the goodallowing people to live happy, free and prosperous lives. The global event that belongs to the world, such as the Olympics with its torch event, opening ceremoniesthen eventually the Games themselves, allow this world to receive a great healing affect on itself, expressed the author.

So sure that Bristow believes in the power of the Olympics, readers can see it and feel it by reading one of the selections in his poetry book Olympic Stars. This poem is over 25 pages long, with heroes out of the following countries: Canada, Great Britain, Japan, United States, Kenya, Australia, and China, great host to 2008 Summer Olympics.

This book also showcases the poem that started it all, A 1996 Olympic Torchbearers SaluteTo Another. Since 2004, when the book was released, Bristow has publicly recited from memory this five-minute poem to many audiences. Even Muhammad Ali has his personal copy, along with Oprah Winfrey and Al Roker.

Exciting real stories, all in poetic form, are waiting for readers to read and allow them to feel what its like to carry and pass a real Olympic Flame.
